This explains what SenAI ("we", "us", "our") collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. If anything here isn't clear, email us at [email protected].
1. What we collect
- Your account: your name, email, and password when you sign up. Passwords are hashed, so we never see the real one. You can add optional profile bits too, like a username, picture, bio, pronouns, and cosmetics.
- Discord, if you link it: your Discord ID, username, avatar, and email, plus permission to add you to our server if you ask. We use this for premium activation, student verification, and the community.
- Payments:these go through Stripe or PayPal, who handle your card details, not us. We keep a record of your payment status and licence key so we know what you've unlocked.
- How you use SenAI: things like which features you use and your activity on the platform, so the Service works and we can spot abuse.
- Device and connection: your IP address and browser details, used to keep you signed in, secure your sessions, and block bots. We also use cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. If you go through student verification, we note the IP and the rough location it points to.
- Things you post: messages, DMs, and reviews you send through SenAI, so we can show them. When you vote on a review we store a one-way hash of your IP rather than the IP itself, just to stop double-voting.
2. Why we use it
To run and improve the Service, unlock and manage premium, send you account emails like verifications, password resets, and important notices, keep things secure, and deal with fraud or abuse.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We only share it with:
- the companies that help us run SenAI, like Stripe and PayPal for payments, Resend for email, Discord, and Cloudflare for security;
- anyone we're legally required to share it with; and
- services you choose to connect yourself, like when you link Discord.
4. Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, like hashing passwords so the real ones are never stored. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we do our best.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. Delete your account and we remove it. You can also clear specific things yourself, like linked accounts and active sessions, from your settings.
6. Your choices
You can view and edit your profile, manage your linked accounts and active sessions, and delete your account whenever you want from your settings. If you'd like a copy of your data or want something removed, email us.
7. Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and for bigger changes we'll give you a heads-up.
